Thank You!

Thank you all for coming to celebrate with us yesterday! We were so delighted to be surrounded by our family and friends who mean so much to us. Pictures will be on their way, but if you have any that you took, please email us with them and we will post them so that everyone can see them.

Yesterday's wedding gave us a new saying: "When life gives you a muddy dance floor, wipe it with your wedding gown!"

Thanks again!

Love,
Sharon and Dan

Directions from Northampton:)

Sorry, we completely forgot to put down directions for all of the local folk. You can certainly follow the mass pike directions, which are easier and exactly the same amount of time. But, if you would like a more scenic route:

Follow route 10 out of town, towards Easthampton. Follow it around Easthampton, through Southampton, and take it over the pike into Westfield. Route 10 takes you right through the center of Westfield, and at the rotary at the edge of town (with the library on the right hand side), take your first exit off the rotary to follow route 10. This becomes Western Avenue, which is where Stanley Park is. Stanley Park is about 1 mile up on the left hand side past Noble Hospital.

Can't wait to see you there!!

2 days left!

Just a friendly reminder that there are only two days left to make hotel reservations at the reduced rate. We have rooms at the Clarion Hotel in Northampton, 413-586-1211 and the Comfort Inn in Hadley, 413-584-9816. Ask for the Wretzel/Mason wedding to get the special rate!

What is a Charity Registry?

We have been asked this question quite a few times, so let us explain:

A charity registry is one in which a guest can give a gift of a donation to a chosen charity that the couple feels strongly about, instead of a more conventional registry where a guest can give a gift from a store to the bride and groom. Our charity registry is located in the same location as our gift registry to make it easier for everyone. Our registries are located at the I Do Foundation.

Hope that helps! We cannot wait to see everyone in only a few short weeks!

Restaurants in the Area

Northampton is a foodie's mecca. There are fabulous restaurants here, and we invite you to enjoy some of our favorites during the days before or after the wedding:

Apollo Grill (located in Easthampton, and where we went on our first date)
Osaka Restaurant
Viva Fresh Pasta Company
Paul and Elizabeth's
Sierra Grille
Esselon Cafe (Hadley)
Lhasa Cafe

We can't list every restaurant we adore here, there are too many good ones to choose from! Have a great time enjoying them yourselves!

More Stuff to Do

We told you we would be back with more ideas.....

Springfield is the birthplace of basketball, and the location of the Basketball Hall of Fame
Holyoke is the birthplace of volleyball, and the location of the Volleyball Hall of Fame (see a pattern here?)

For those of you with kids:
Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory and Gardens in South Deerfield is great. Butterflies fly all around you, they are beautiful!
Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art (he wrote and illustrated The Very Hungry Caterpillar)

Other thoughts:
Emily Dickinson Museum, which is located in her house in Amherst.
National Yiddish Book Center (which will be closed on Saturday)
